Introducing....

Olive Adele!

Born at 8:31 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18th, 2014.

7 lbs 1 oz, 19 inches.

She's here!! (Well, she's been here for almost two weeks now...but life has been a bit crazy). ;)

A little bit about her name. Yes, it's true that we wanted something that would "fit" with Ella and Milo, but not be too sing-songy or matchy. When we had it narrowed down to this and one other name, though, I fell in love with it even more when I saw the meaning- "peace." After over a year and a half of wondering if we should have a third...then actually trying for a third....then deciding to put things on hold when it wasn't happening, the first (of many) emotions I felt as I held that positive test on the afternoon of Ella's fourth birthday was simply that-- peace. (Okay. Technically, at first, it was shock). But, even as a seasoned worrier, I somehow knew that this was the beginning of the final chapter for us in growing our family, and that things would be okay- even in the discomforts of pregnancy and the turbulence of adjusting to life as a family of five. And our little girl seems to be living up to her name, too- a chill baby who only cries when she's hungry. (Let's just hope the trend continues!)
